Washington, Texas, and Oregon do not pre-approve CE providers; this course is designed to meet their general CE rules (WAC 246-809-610; 22 TAC 681.140 and 801.261; OAR 833-080-0041). In Oregon, this applies to LPCs and LMFTs only. It is 2.75 Oregon hours (17,870 instructional words at 6,000 words per hour). It does not meet the Washington six-hour, model-list suicide training requirement (RCW 43.70.442; WAC 246-809-615). Oregon LPCs and LMFTs must complete two clock hours dedicated to suicide risk assessment, treatment, and management each reporting period (OAR 833-080-0011(2)(d)); ask the board before counting this course toward that category. It is general CE and does not satisfy any state’s specific suicide training requirement unless your board says so. Check with your board.
